Cheteshwar Pujara, the middle order batsman of Indian cricket team on 20 February 2014 was appointed as the brand ambassador of the Gujarat State Election Commission.
Pujara’s name, which has been accepted by the Election Commission of India was sent as a suggestion to it by Rajendra Kumar, the district collector of Rajkot district. His name was suggested as he is popular among the cricket lovers and youth of the sate and he would appeal the people to caste their votes in the general elections.
